Chen Tai Chi---NEW CLASS!
Chen Tai Chi
Beginning December 7th, Seattle Wushu will be offering Chen style Tai Chi class! Classes will be held on Monday evenings, 6 to 7:15 pm.
No experience Tai Chi is necessary. If you are interested in this class, please click the link at the bottom of this page to register.
Chen style is known for its slow movements with the quick "fajing", or energy-release movements, and "silk reeling energy training". Beginners will be introduced to the fundamentals, movement principles, and the basic Chen 18 forms routine, as per the curriculum of Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei. Further study will include Laojia YiLu (Old frame form 1), Laojia ErLu (Old frame form 2), Jian (straightsword), Dao (broadsword), push hands and self defense applications.
Sifu Restita DeJesus has taught Chen style Tai Chi in private lesson format since 2002, and is very happy to offer this style in an open class to the public.
This class is open to anyone ages 15 and older. We currently have 10 openings left! Remember, Tai Chi experience is necessary, so feel free to pass this on to your friends.
